The Innovative Health Research Intervention (IHRI) for HIV treatment is a study designed to increase knowledge about stem cell gene therapy (HSCGT) and to decrease medical mistrust regarding participation in clinical trials. Sessions will be led by trained treatment advocates at the four ethnically and culturally diverse NARLA sites: UCLA Center for Clinical AIDS Research and Education (CARE) Clinic, AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), To-Help-Everyone (THE) Clinic, and Friends Research, Inc./Van Ness Recovery House.
Inclusion Criteria:
- HIV infected men and women at least 18 years of age
- English speaking
- Mentally competent to understand study procedures and give informed consent
Exclusion criteria:
- Less than 18 years of age
- Not HIV positive
- Non English speaking
- Not mentally competent to understand the study procedures and give informed consent.
